Patriarch John of Antioch offers condolences to the Bulgarian Church and people for Patriarch Neophyte’s passing

His Beatitude Patriarch John X of Antioch expressed his condolences to the Bulgarian Church and people following the passing of Patriarch Neophyte of Bulgaria.

In a letter addressed to Metropolitan John, the Patriarch of Antioch conveyed his deep sadness over the news and extended sincere condolences to the Bulgarian Church’s leadership, clergy, and members. He offered prayers for the peaceful repose of Patriarch Neophyte’s soul in the heavenly abode.

In the letter, he said: “We are profoundly saddened by the news of the passing of His Beatitude Neophytos, Patriarch of Sofia and All Bulgaria. Please accept our heartfelt condolences and sympathies, extended to Your Eminence and to all the esteemed hierarchs, clergy, and members of the Bulgarian Church. May the Lord God grant Patriarch Neophyte eternal rest in His heavenly kingdom.”
