An Official Delegation of the Church of Rome visited the Ecumenical Patriarchate in order to attend, on Tuesday, 30 November 2021, the feast of Saint Andrew the Apostle and the First-Called, founder of the Church of Constantinople.

Yesterday, Tuesday, 28 November 2023, in the afternoon, His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew received the Papal Delegation, headed by Cardinal Kurt Koch, President of the Pontifical Committee for the Promotion of Christian Unity, and its members, Archbishop Marek Solczynski, Nuncio of the Vatican in Turkey and Azerbaijan, Bishop Brian Farrell, Secretary of the Committee, and Fr. Andrea Palmieri, Deputy Secretary of the Committee.
