New Year’s Day at the Theological School of Halki

On 1 January 2024, on the feast day of the Circumcision of our Lord Jesus Christ and the memory of Saint Basil the Great, the Matins and Hierarchical Divine Liturgy were celebrated in the chapel of the Theological School of Halki, and presided over by the Abbot of the Monastery of the Holy Trinity, His Grace Bishop Kassianos of Aravissos. Groups of pilgrims from Greece and Bulgaria also attended the feast day service.

After the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, in the Great Synodikon of the Theological School, the Abbot, Bishop Kassianos, blessed the traditional Vasilopita, wishing all those present a happy and blessed New Year.
