Metropolitan of Sweden to celebrate Divine Liturgy at the Rizarios Ecclesiastical School of Athens

With the blessings and encouragement of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, and the canonical permission of His Beatitude Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece, His Eminence Metropolitan Cleopas of Sweden and All Scandinavia accepted the honourary invitation of the President of the Rizarios Ecclesiastical School of Athens Foundation Board of Trustees Mr. Panagiotis Tsakiris and will travel to Athens on the occasion of the publication of his new two-volume study entitled ‘Unpublished Letters by St. Nectarios of Pentapolis’ by the Apostoliki Diakonia of the Church of Greece to celebrate the Divine Liturgy on the following dates:

1) On Thursday, 9 November 2023, the feast day of St. Nectarios of Pentapolis, he will preside in Horostasia at the St. George Church in the Rizarios Seminary (Rizareios 1, Chalandri – across from the Olympic Stadium) at 7:45 a.m. and subsequently preside over the festive Divine Liturgy at 8:30 a.m.

2) On Sunday, 12 November 2023, he will preside in Horostasia at the St. George Church in the old Rizareios Seminary (Vasilissis Sofias 51, Athens – across from the Hilton Hotel) at 8:30 a.m. and subsequently preside over the Divine Liturgy at 9:00 a.m.

Metropolitan Cleopas will be accompanied by the Very Rev. Archimandrite Fr. Alexandros Loukatos, Presiding Priest of the Metropolitan Church of the Annunciation of the Theotokos in Oslo.
