Metropolitan of Neapolis and Mayor of Ampelokipi-Menemeni visited the Ecumenical Patriarch

Mayor Lazaros Kyrizoglou of Ampelokipi-Menemeni and President of the Central Union of Municipalities of Greece seized the opportunity to visit the Ecumenical Patriarchate on Thursday morning, where he had the honour of meeting with His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and receiving his blessing.

Accompanied by His Eminence Metropolitan Barnabas of Neapolis and Stavroupolis, Mr. Kyrizoglou presented the Ecumenical Patriarch with a letter expressing gratitude for his recent recognition with the Offikion of Archon Laosynastis of the Holy Great Church of Christ.

This prestigious title, bestowed upon individuals for their significant and longstanding contributions to the Church, was conferred upon Mayor Kyrizoglou by Metropolitan Barnabas during a special ceremony at the Church of Zoodochos Pigi on Sunday, 21 January 2024.
