Metropolitan of Kyiv led Divine Liturgy on the Sunday after Epiphany at St. Michael’s Cathedral
On 12 January 2025, the 29th Sunday after Pentecost and after the Feast of Epiphany, His Beatitude Metropolitan Epifaniy of Kyiv and All Ukraine presided over the Divine Liturgy at the St. Michael’s Golden-Domed Cathedral in the capital.
The Primate of the autocephalous Orthodox Church of Ukraine was joined in concelebration by Metropolitan Clement of Simferopol and Crimea, Archbishop Agapitus of Vyshhorod, the abbot of the Golden-Domed Monastery, Bishop Ephraim of Vasylkiv, as well as the monastic brethren and invited clergy.
Following the Gospel reading, the Metropolitan delivered a sermon and offered a special prayer to the Lord during this time of national peril.
During the service, prayers were also offered for the soldiers defending Ukraine, for the authorities and the people, and for the repose of the souls of all fallen defenders of Ukraine and civilians who lost their lives during the war.
