Metropolitan of Korea: “Whoever shoots any fellow human being shoots Christ himself”
In the main Hall of the Missionary Centre of the Orthodox Church in Seoul, a lecture titled “Ukraine Now” was held on Friday, June 30, during which journalist KIM Young-Mi presented events and experiences from her journalistic activity in war-torn Ukraine.
The event was closed by His Eminence Metropolitan Ambrosios of Korea and Exarch of Japan, who, after conveying the paternal blessings of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, he emphasised the need for us all to realise that the war in Ukraine, but also any aggressive war anywhere on earth, is actually a “civil” war because brothers are killed among themselves since all the people of the earth have God as our common Father.
Whoever shoots any fellow human being, who is made “in the image” of God, shoots Christ himself. Finally, he said that we must condemn the war publicly, as our Ecumenical Patriarch did from the first day of the war and to continue our help to the victims of the war.
