Metropolitan of Kilkis visits Ecumenical Patriarch and presents centenary commemorative volume

On Wednesday, 9 April 2025, His Eminence Metropolitan Bartholomew of Polyanis and Kilkis paid an official visit to the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Constantinople.
During his visit, Metropolitan Bartholomew was warmly received by His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew. In the context of their meeting, the Metropolitan presented to the Patriarch the first printed copy of the Centenary Commemorative Volume marking 100 years since the elevation of the historic Diocese of Polyanis to the status of the Holy Metropolis of Polyanis and Kilkis.
The extensive 600-page volume features texts dedicated to the people, events, and landmarks that have shaped the 100-year history of the Metropolis. Special emphasis is given to the decisive role played by the refugees who form the overwhelming majority of its faithful.
The gift was received with gratitude by the Ecumenical Patriarch, who congratulated the Metropolitan on this important milestone and the publication’s contribution to preserving ecclesiastical and historical memory.
