Metropolitan of Ioannina paid official visit to Theological School of Halki

His Eminence Metropolitan Maximos of Ioannina paid an official visit to the Theological School of Halki Yesterday, accompanied by a large group of pilgrims from his ecclesiastical region, which included Maria Kefala, Deputy Minister of Social Cohesion and Family.

Welcomed by the Abbot of the Monastery of the Holy Trinity, His Grace Bishop Kassianos of Aravissos, the group gathered at the church of the Holy Trinity and the Great Synodikon of the School.

His Grace Bishop Kassianos provided insights into the School’s extensive history. Metropolitan Maximos, named after the last Scholarch of the Chalkitis School, Metropolitan Maximos of Stavroupolis, expressed joy for the visit. The visitors were then guided through the School’s classrooms, the historic Library, and other significant areas.
