Metropolitan of Florina, Prespa and Eordaia visits the Phanar

His Eminence Metropolitan Irinaios of Florina, Prespa and Eordaia, from the 1st to 3rd of June 2024, visited the Ecumenical Patriarchate, accompanied by the clergy of the Holy Metropolis, Archimandrite Timotheos Tsismalidis, Archdeacon Theoklitos Stamkos, and Archimandrite Christodoulos Karathanasis, clergyman of the Holy Metropolis of Alexandroupolis, along with Mr. Raphael Karavasiliadis.

On 2 May, 2024, the Sunday of the Samaritan Woman, and the day of commemoration of all the Holy Archbishops and Patriarchs of Constantinople, His Eminence Metropolitan Irinaios, following the proposal of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, spoke during the Patriarchal and Synodal Divine Liturgy held at the Venerable Patriarchal Church of Saint George in the Phanar, Constantinople. On this day, the annual pilgrimage of the Athens based Association of Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate “Panagia Pammakaristos” took place.

Afterwards, the Metropolitan of Florina was received in the Patriarchal office, paying his respects to His All-Holiness, with whom he is connected from his thirty-year ministry in the Holy Metropolis of Alexandroupolis as a cleric. Afterwards, he accompanied His All-Holiness to the official meal given by the Association of Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate “Panagia Pammakaristos”.
