Metropolitan of Bursa engages with youth from the Metropolis of Derkoi

On Sunday, 14 April 2024, His Eminence Metropolitan Joachim of Bursa accepted an invitation from His Eminence Elder Metropolitan Apostolos of Derkoi to visit the Offices of the Holy Metropolis. The purpose of the visit was to engage with the youth community gathered there.

During the gathering, Metropolitan Joachim shared insights into the work of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, both locally and globally, along with his personal endeavours within the Holy Metropolis of Bursa. The young attendees showed great enthusiasm, posing numerous questions to the Metropolitan, eager to learn and engage with his wisdom.

As a token of appreciation and encouragement, Metropolitan Joachim distributed copies of a book authored by Professor Elçin Macar, dedicated to His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, as well as the annual calendar of the Holy Metropolis, all translated into Turkish.

Under the blessing of Elder Metropolitan Apostolos of Derkoi, the youth gatherings are set to continue every Sunday afternoon, fostering a nurturing environment for spiritual growth and community engagement. Additionally, cinema evenings are scheduled every Thursday afternoon, offering further opportunities for fellowship and enrichment.
