Metropolitan Ignatius of Northern Madagascar visits Archbishop Makarios of Australia

On Friday, 3 November 2023, His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia held a cordial meeting with Metropolitan Ignatius of Northern Madagascar, at the headquarters of the Holy Archdiocese in Sydney.

The two Hierarchs discussed matters of common interest concerning the Ecumenical Patriarchate and the ancient Patriarchate of Alexandria and all Africa, as well as issues related to the missionary work carried out in the poor island nation of the African continent.

At the end of the meeting, His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia wished God to give strength to the Metropolitan of Northern Madagascar and his co-workers to continue their blessed work, while Metropolitan Ignatius returned the same wishes and wholeheartedly thanked the Archbishop for the fraternal hospitality he offered him and more generally for his assistance in the missionary work of his Metropolis.
