Metropolitan Ieronymos of Larissa met with Patriarch Theodore of Alexandria

His Eminence Metropolitan Ieronymos of Larissa and Tyrnavos visited His Beatitude Pope and Patriarch Theodore II of Alexandria and All Africa at the Patriarchal Commission of Cairo.

Prior to the meeting, Metropolitan Ieronymos had the opportunity to visit the Church of Saint Nicholas in Cairo, where Saint Nektarios, Metropolitan of Pentapolis, was ordained.

The Metropolitan, following the presentation of an icon of the patron saint of Larissa, Saint Achillios, took the opportunity to discuss the initiatives of the Holy Metropolis and the Missionary Associations, focusing on the ongoing efforts to spread the gospel in Africa. He also addressed the recent natural disasters in Thessaly, particularly the severe floods in September that caused significant damage. They also discussed issues of common interest.

Patriarch Theodore of Alexandria conveyed his heartfelt wishes and blessings to the faithful of the Holy Metropolis of Larissa and Tyrnavos, particularly extending his sympathy and prayers to those affected by the recent earthquakes and floods.
