Metropolitan Daniel of Aksum thanked Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens for awarding scholarship
The Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Aksum and His Eminence Metropolitan Daniel, express their deepest thanks to His Beatitude Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and all Greece, the Holy Synod of the Church of Greece and the Secretary of the Scholarships Subcommittee Protopresbyter Father Emmanuel Papamikroulis, for awarding a scholarship to the Priest of the Patriarchate of Eritrea in Greece, Fr. Yosief Merhazion, for the support of his Theological Studies.
Today, in the Great Hall of the Holy Synod in Athens, the ceremony of handing over the scholarship to Fr. Yosief. Merhazion was held.
The total amount of scholarships, which the Church of Greece will make available during the Academic Year 2023-2024, amounts to a total of 460,000 euros, after 150 scholarships were approved for this year, 105 to Greeks and 45 to foreign students.
The Archbishop of Athens, after congratulating the scholars and wishing them a good career and success in their studies, handed them the relevant documents concerning the scholarships.
