Metropolitan Athanasios of Ilia and Oleni officiates at the venerable Patriarchal Church, Phanar

His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew was present joined in prayer during the Divine Liturgy which took place on the Sunday of the Prodigal Son, 3 March 2024, during which His Eminence Metropolitan Athanasios of Ilia and Oleni officiated from the throne.

Also present for the Divine Liturgy were, His Eminence Metropolitan Chrysostomos of Myra, the Deputy Minister of Citizen Protection of Greece, Mr. Andreas Nikolakopoulos, the Ambassador His Excellency Konstantinos Koutras, Consul General of Greece in Constantinople, the Mayors of Ancient Olympia Mr. Aristidis Panagiotopoulos, Mr. Efstathios Kannis of Pyrgos and Mr. Ioannis Lentzas of Andravidas-Kyllini, Teachers and students of the 6th Lyceum of Glyfada who are participating in an environmental program of the Patriarchal Foundation for Patristic Studies, and a multitude of believers from the city.
