Memorial Service for the Late Hierarchs of the Ecumenical Throne at the Phanar

On the fourth Sunday of Lent, 14 April 2024, His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew was present joined in prayer at the Patriarchal Church of Saint George in the Phanar, during the Poly-Hierarchical Divine Liturgy which took placed presided over by His Eminence Metropolitan Meliton of Philadelphia and was concelebrated by His Eminence Metropolitan Irinaios of Myriophytos and Peristasis and His Eminence Metropolitan Theoliptos of Iconium.
At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, a Memorial Service ‘for the repose of the souls of the late Hierarchs of the Ecumenical Throne who have fallen asleep in the Lord during the last three years” was held.
After the end of the Divine Liturgy, the Ecumenical Patriarch spoke appropriately to the large congregation who had attended.
