Memorial Service for the founders of the Zografeion Lyceum at the Şişli cemetery of Constantinople

On Sunday, 19 November 2023, the celebrations for the 130 year anniversary of the historical Zografeion Lyceum of Constantinople began, with a Memorial Service conducted by His Eminence Metropolitan Andreas of Forty Churches, in the Holy Church of the Transfiguration of Our Lord at the Şişli Cemetery.
A Memorial Service was held for the recently departed: Christakis Zografos, Pericles Fotiadis, architects, Commissioners, representatives of founders, teachers, curators, secretaries, students, benefactors, donors and friends of Zografeion Lyceum and the other Schools of the omogenia.
Present also for the memorial service were, among others, the Director of the Zografeion Lyceum, Mr. Yiannis Demirtzoglou, Archon Referendarios of the Great Church of Christ, the president of the Zografeion Lyceum Alumni Association Mr. Nikos Kolman, representatives of Constantinople Associations and groups from Greece and faithful from the City of Constantinople.
