Memorial service for the ANZACs at St Spyridon’s Parish in Sydney

In memory of the ANZACs, the heroic men and women who sacrificed their lives serving the Australian Nation during World Wars I and II, as well as in other missions around the world, were commemorated for another year the Parish of Saint Spyridon in Kingsford, Sydney.

Ahead of this year’s ANZACs Day commemoration, a Memorial Service was held on Sunday, 23 April 2023, for the repose of their souls, by the Parish Priest of Saint Spyridon’s, Father Steven Scoutas.

The Consul General of Greece in Sydney, Mr. Yannis Mallikourtis, the State Member of Parliament, Mr. Ron Hoenig, the President of the Parish, Mr. Elias Economou, and many representatives of Greek organisations, as well as representatives of veterans’ organisations, were present.

After the end of the Memorial, wreaths were laid in memory of the heroes.
