In the afternoon of Great and Holy Wednesday, 1 May 2024, His Grace Bishop Kyriakos of Sozopolis presided over the Sacrament of Holy Unction which took place at the Church of Saint Athanasios in the Melbourne suburb of Springvale, and was joined by the Parish Priest, Father Efstathios Ladas and Father Dimitrios Drougas.

At the end of the Sacrament of Holy Unction, His Grace anointed the faithful with holy oil for the healing of both soul and body, while conveying to everyone the blessings and wishes of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia for a blessed feast of the Resurrection.
