Melbourne: Movie night – ‘The Shepard’s Supper
On Saturday 16, April 2022 with the blessing of His Grace Bishop Kyriakos of Sozopoleos the youth in the District of Melbourne held a movie night at the Parish of St Catherine’s in Malvern screening the movie of the ‘Shepherd’s Supper’
More than 60 young people attended and where treated to popcorn and fasting treats.
The Shepherd’s Supper was released in 2019 and tells the story about the shepherd Mavrogeni who after hearing the priests is inspired to find the kingdom of heaven. The film highlights how valued in our faith is the virtue of humility and striving for a clean heart.
The event also promoted the new Five Loaves outreach program which aims to help those in need.
