Melbourne: Five loaves distribution of toiletries in Dandenong Park
On Saturday 16, April 2022 with the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia and under the guidance and supervision of His Grace Bishop Kyriakos of Sozopolis volunteers for the Five Loaves program distributed male and female toiletries to those in need at Dandenong Park and Launch Housing Crisis Accomdation. More than 40 individual packs were distributed.
The volunteers dedicated time to speak to those in need to build human connectedness.
The Five Loaves program helps people in need including homeless and those living in crisis accomdation.
Over the past weeks in Great Lent, events have been held to help raise awareness and build donations and the volunteer base.
The Five loaves will also provide hot meals, clothing, toiletries and sleeping apparel.
The current social and economic challenges continue to affect the lives of many and the Five Loaves program aims to multiply Christ’s light in the darkness for everyone experiencing difficulties in this situation.
