Melbourne: Feast Day of the Church of Saint Panteleimon, Dandenong

With due ecclesiastical splendour, the celebration of the memory of Saint Panteleimon the Great Martyr and Healer was celebrated at the Parish of Saint Panteleimon in the suburb of Dandenong in Melbourne.

On Friday evening, 26 July, the Great Vespers of the Feast Day took place, as well as the Matins and Hierarchical Divine Liturgy on the morning of the main day of the Feast, 27 July. The Divine Liturgy was presided over by His Grace Bishop Kyriakos of Melbourne, who was joined in concelebration by clergy of the Holy Diocese of Melbourne, among whom was the Parish Priest of the celebrating Church, Father Antonios Krinas.

At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, His Grace Bishop Kyriakos of Melbourne spoke to the congregation about the life of Saint Panteleimon, also making reference to the many miracles the saint accomplished with his medical knowledge, both physically and spiritually.

Finally, Bishop Kyriakos conveyed the wishes and blessings of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia.
