Meeting of the Ecumenical Patriarch with the Minister of Education and Religious Affairs of Greece

On Wednesday, 17 April 2024, as part of his visit to Athens, His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew met with the Minister of Education and Religious Affairs of Greece, Mr. Kyriakos Pierrakakis at the Representative Office of the Ecumenical Patriarchate.

During their meeting, they had the opportunity to discuss issues of common interest.

Also present for the meeting were His Eminence Metropolitan Theodoritos of Laodicea, Director of the Representative Office of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Athens, the Grand Ecclesiarch Archimandrite Aetios, Director of the Personal Patriarchal Office, the General Secretary of Religious Affairs of the Ministry of Education Mr. Georgios Kalantzis and the Director of the Office of the Minister Mr. Nikolaos Dimakis.

It was the first visit of the Minister of Education and Religious Affairs to the Office of the Patriarchate in Athens and for this reason he signed the relevant visitor’s book.
