Meeting of the Ecumenical Patriarch with the Consul General of Ukraine
Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, accompanied by Elder Metropolitan Emmanuel of Chalcedon and Grand Protosyncellus Iakovos, went to the general-consulate of Ukraine today and conveyed to the Consul General, Roman Nedilskyi, and his associates the undivided sympathy, support, and solidarity of the Mother Church towards them.
According to the announcement of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, the Ecumenical Patriarch “conveyed to the Consul General Roman Nedilskyi and his associates the undivided sympathy, support and solidarity of the Mother Church to them, the numerous Ukrainian community in Constantinople and the entire heroic people of the country.
At the same time, he assured them through the constant prayers of the Ecumenical Patriarchate for the supremacy of peace, the preservation of the independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine, the immediate ceasefire and the invasion of foreign powers.”
The Consul General thanked the Ecumenical Patriarch and informed his interlocutors in detail about the current developments and the course of the ongoing negotiations.
