Meeting of His Grace Bishop Kyriakos of Sozopolis with Youth from the District of Melbourne

His Grace Bishop Kyriakos of Sozopolis held the first meeting with the youth of the Archdiocesan District of Melbourne on Saturday the 12th of March at the central offices of our Archdiocese.

His Grace was able to discuss and hear initiatives our youth would like to see in our district. Bishop Kyriakos shared his thoughts and ideas on what he would like to see youth participate in, and also spoke about the initiative of the District of Melbourne ‘Five Loves’.

The youth who represented the many parishes in his jurisdiction were all invited by His Grace to attend the launch by His Eminence our Archbishop Makarios of Australia at the Parish of the Presentation of the Theotokos to the Temple in Balwyn this Saturday the 19th of March at 7pm. Before inviting the youth to partake in lunch, His Grace gave some spiritual counsel to the youth.

“I remind you to always be yourself, be who God created YOU to be. Don’t worry about numbers of Youth involved. Don’t be afraid of the world. God has called many to follow Him, and from the many you have responded to Christ’s calling. And we respond when we have repentance.

We turn to Christ with love and repentance. And again I stress, throughout all this, we must find who we are and we must be who we are”.
