Greek PM Mitsotakis visits the Metropolis of Thessaloniki

On Monday, 20 May 2024, The Prime Minister of Greece, Mr. Kyriakos Mitsotakis, met with His Eminence Metropolitan Filotheos of Thessaloniki, at the Holy Metropolis. The Prime Minister was welcomed by Fr. Iakovos, Protosyncellus of the Holy Metropolis, and Fr. Fotios, General Hierarchal Commissioner, while Metropolitan Filotheos guided Mr. Mitsotakis to the museum of the Metropolis.

Afterwards, the meeting between the Prime Minister and the Metropolitan took place, which was attended by, among others, the Deputy Minister of the Interior, responsible for issues of Macedonia -Thrace Mr. Stathis Konstantinidis, the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, responsible for infrastructure, Mr. Nikos Tachiaos, the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Ms. Christina Alexopoulou, the Secretary General of the Parliamentary Group of the New Democracy Party Mr. Stavros Kalafatis, MPs Fanis Papas and Nefeli Hatziioannidou, the director of the Prime Minister’s Office in Macedonia, Mr, Michalis Bekiris, the coordinator of the office Mr. Yiannis Papageorgiou, priests and others.

On leaving the Metropolis, the Prime Minister spoke with many citizens.
