GO Fellowship Melbourne presents talk at Church of the Dormition of Our Lady, North Altona

“How do I know that I will be saved through the Orthodox Church?”, was the topic of the talk organised by the GO Fellowship initiative of the Archdiocesan District of Melbourne, along with the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia and under the guidance of His Grace Bishop Kyriakos of Sozopolis. This event was hosted at the Parish of the Dormition of Our Lady, in the suburb of North Altona, and the speaker was the Parish Priest, Father Demetrius Catrinei.

Father Demetrius explained to the believers who attended the event, that salvation does not come only from our faith in God but also from our good works in favour of our neighbour. During the 90-minute talk, he referred to different religions around the world, pointing out that Orthodoxy is divinely inspired through the incarnation of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ who showed us how to live our lives in order to prepare for eternal life with Him.
