GO Fellowship Melbourne hosts talk titled ‘Eucharistic Spirituality’

On the 7th of March 2024, with the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia, and under the guidance of His Grace Bishop Kyriakos of Sozopolis, GO Fellowship Melbourne hosted its second talk under the series titled, Come and See: “We have found Him” (John 1:45).

The special guest speaker of the night, Father Antonio Cagnoni, presented ‘Eucharistic Spirituality,’ which is about our relationship with the living God.

The talk attracted many attendees who engaged with the panel.

Father Antoni explained that we find our identity as Christians in the body and blood of Christ, wherein we encounter the real presence of Jesus.

The audience then engaged with the panel in questions about the Holy Eucharist.

The series Come and See, will explore worship and life in the Orthodox Christian Church, with fortnightly talks every alternating Thursday at the parish of Saints Raphael, Nicholas and Irene in Bentleigh. 

The purpose of this series of talks is to engage the faithful and seekers of our Christian faith in the beauty, meaning and symbolism of Orthodox Christian worship and how it unites heaven and earth.
