Feast of Saint Gregory the Theologian was celebrated in Kireku, Mityana district

On 25 January 2023, His Eminence Metropolitan Ieronymos of Kampala presided over the Divine Liturgy at the Church of Saint Gregory the Theologian in Kireku, which is located in the Mityana district of Uganda, as the parish celebrated their patronal feast day, the feast of Saint Gregory the Theologian, Archbishop of Constantinople.

The Parish of Saint Gregory has a well-built church consecrated in 2020 by His Grace Bishop Silvester of Jinja (then Gulu) through the blessings of the late Metropolitan Jonah Lwanga of Kampala. It is currently under the pastoral care of Fr. George Kaleebu.
