Feast Day of the Holy Docheiariou Monastery of Mount Athos

His Eminence Metropolitan Platon of Langada, Liti and Rentini presided over the celebration of the feast of the Holy Archangels, at the Holy Patriarchal and Stavropegion Monastery of Docheiariou of Mount Athos, according to the Julian calendar (November 8/21, 2023), following the invitation of the Monastery’s Abbot, Elder Amfilochios.

His Eminence Metropolitan Platon also venerated the miraculous icon of Panagia Gorgoepikoos, which is a holy relic of the Monastery of Docheiariou.

Metropolitan Platon also visited the Supervisory Committee of Mount Athos and received a warm welcome from the Protos, Elder Arsenios of Hilandar Monastery and the members of the Supervisory Committee.

Also, he then made his way to the Protaton Church, in Karyes, Mount Athos, where he venerated the miracle working icon of Panagia “Axion Esti”.
