Feast Day of the Church of the Transfiguration of Our Lord at the Cemetery of Şişli

On 6 August 2023, the Cemetery Church of the renowned Community of Stavrodromi celebrated its feast day, the Transfiguration of Our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

His Grace Bishop Benjamin of Tralee presided over the feast day Divine Liturgy and joined by the holy clergy of the community. After the dismissal of the Liturgy and the distribution of the antidoron, each believer was given grapes which had been blessed during the divine liturgy, observing the customs of the city of Constantinople. After the Divine Liturgy, the Community of Stavrodromi hosted a reception for all the faithful who attended.
