Feast Day of the Cenobitic Skete of Prophet Elijah of the Pantokratoros monastery, Mount Athos

The Cenobitic Skete of Prophet Elijah of the Holy Pantokratoros monastery on Mount Athos, is celebrating according to the Julian Calendar, the Feast Day of Prophet Elijah, which will be presided over by His Eminence Metropolitan Meliton of Philadelphia, Hierarch of the Ecumenical Throne, who has old spiritual ties with the Skete of the Prophet Elijah.

His Eminence Metropolitan Meliton of Philadephia was welcomed by the Abbot of the Holy Pantokratoros Monastery, Elder Gabriel and the Dikaios of the Skete, Elder Philimon, who welcomed His Eminence with a formal address.

The Holy Vigil for the feast day of Prophet Elijah is to take place this evening, which will conclude with a Hierarchical Divine Liturgy.
