Feast Day of Saint Dionysios of Olympus in Tanzania

The 23 January, the day in which the Church celebrates the memory of Saint Dionysios of Olympus, is a day of joy and celebration for the Missionary Shelter and the Holy Diocese of Arusha. His Grace Bishop Agathonikos of Arusha and Central Tanzania has made Saint Dionysios known to the clergy and faithful of Central Tanzania and his memory is commemorated each year with a solemn Divine Liturgy.

This year’s centre for the celebration was the parish of Saint Philip the Apostle in the village of Kimbembe. The inhabitants of the village participated in the Divine Liturgy and after the dismissal sat down at the festive table that was offered, donated by Mrs. Urania Founta in memory of her husband, Asterios.
