Enthronement of the New Abbot of the Holy Monastery of Saints Rafael, Nicholas and Irene in Pyrgetos
His Eminence Metropolitan Ieronymos of Larissa and Tyrnavos officiated at the Lentent Vespers of the Fourth Sunday of Lent at the Holy Monastery of Saints Raphael, Nicholas and Irene of Pyrgetos.
Prior to his dismissal, His Eminence Metropolitan Ieronymos enthroned the new Abbot of the Monastery, Archim. Very Rev Father Raphael Evangelou, while in his sermon he referred to Saint John Climacus and read from the exhortations of “Towards the Shepherd”.
The Lenten Vespers was attended by the Abbots of the Holy Monasteries of Panagia Prousiotissis, Archim. Very Rev Father Ioannikios Varvarelis, and Agia Triados Sparmou, Archim. Very Rev Father Nikanor Papanikolaou, clergy of the local Diocese,
but also from other Dioceses, the Regional Governor of Thessaly Mr Konstantinos Agorastos, Members of Parliament, Mr Maximos Harakopoulos and Mr Christos Kellas, the President of the Bar Association Mr Tryfon Tsatsaros, as well as many believers.
