Election of three new Bishops for the Metropolis of Italy
The Holy Synod of the Ecumenical Patriarchate met on November 27 and 28, 2022, under the chairmanship of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.
During the last session, three Assistant Bishops were elected for the Metropolis of Italy. In particular, Archimandrite George Antonopoulos, was elected Bishop of Krateas, Archimandrite Dionysios Papavassiliou was elected Bishop of Kotieou, and Archimandrite Athenagoras Fasiolos was elected Bishop of Thermae.
