Elder Metropolitan Emmanuel of Chalcedon at the Church of the Transfiguration in Kandilli
On Sunday, 6 August 2023, on the occasion of the Great Feast of the Divine Transfiguration of Our Saviour, The Church of the Divine Transfiguration of Our Saviour celebrated, which is located on the Hill of Kandilli, on the Eastern bank of the Bosphorus.
His Eminence Elder Metropolitan Emmanuel of Chalcedon presided over the Feast Day Divine Liturgy.
After the dismissal of the Divine Liturgy, Elder Metropolitan Emmanuel, along with the antidoron handed out blessed grapes to the faithful Christians, having blessed them with the specific prayer, continuing the tradition which takes place in Constantinople on the feast of the Transfiguration.
After this a festive reception took place in the courtyard of the Church.
