Elder Metropolitan Demetrios of Princes’ Islands offers commemorative volume to Ecumenical Patriarch

On 26 December 2023, His Eminence Elder Metropolitan Demetrios of Princes’ Islands had a private meeting with His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, during which he presented the first copy of the recently published anniversary volume by Apostoliki Diakonia of the Church of Greece. This volume commemorates the 100th anniversary of the Holy Metropolis of the Princes’ Islands (1924-2024).

Expressing his delight for this ecclesiastical work, the Ecumenical Patriarch warmly congratulated the inspirer behind this initiative, Metropolitan Demetrios of Princes’ Islands.

The 380-page commemorative volume comprises extensive work contributed by Metropolitan Meliton of Philadelphia, following the venerable Patriarchal Message and the introductory words of the Metropolitan. This comprehensive compilation stands as a testament to the rich history and legacy of the Holy Metropolis of Princes’ Islands.
