Efforts underway to contain wildfire in Kefalonia

Firefighting teams are working to suppress a wildfire that broke out on Monday morning near the village of Livadi on the Ionian island of Kefalonia. The fire is burning farmland and forest.

A team comprising 17 firefighters and five fire engines is presently engaged in the area, with additional support from two water-dropping planes and one helicopter.
