Ecumenical Patriarchs honours the anniversary of the Independence of Ukraine

On the evening of Wednesday, 21 September 2022, His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, responding to a relevant invitation, attended the reception hosted by the Consul General of Ukraine in the Constantinople, Mr. Roman Nedilskyi, on the occasion of the recently celebrated 31st anniversary of Ukraine’s Independence.

His All-Holiness expressed to the Consul General and his colleagues the sympathy and solidarity of the Mother Church towards the war-torn Ukrainian people, who defends with vigour and heroism the territorial integrity of his homeland, and wished that peace would soon prevail for the good of Ukraine and all humanity.
