Ecumenical Patriarch extends warm wishes to Former Metropolitan Athanasios on His Name Day

On the Thursday afternoon, 18 January 2024, His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, accompanied by His Eminence Elder Metropolitan Emmanuel of Chalcedon, paid a visit to the residence of the former Metropolitan Athanasios of Chalcedon.

During the visit, the Ecumenical Patriarch extended warm congratulations and heartfelt wishes on the occasion of the venerable Metropolitan’s name day.

In a gesture of honour and respect, His Eminence Former Metropolitan Athanasios welcomed and cordially received the venerable Primate of the Ecumenical Throne and his successor, Metropolitan Emmanuel of Chalcedon to the historic throne of Chalcedon.
