Ecumenical Patriarch conducts Memorial Service for late Metropolitan Meliton of Chalcedon

On Wednesday, 27 December 2023, His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew visited the Cemetery of Saint Ignatius of Chalcedon, where he conducted a Trisagion (Memorial Service) at the grave of his spiritual father, the Late Metropolitan Meliton of Chalcedon, praying for the repose of his soul, on the occasion of the 34th anniversary of his falling asleep in the Lord.

Also present for the Memorial Service was the local Hierarch, His Eminence Elder Metropolitan Emmanuel of Chalcedon.
