Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew will visit Thessaly
With feelings of respect and honour towards the Venerable Centre of Orthodoxy under heaven and His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, His Eminence Metropolitan Ieronymos of Larissa and Tyrnavos, accompanied by Archimandrite Father Ignatios Mourtzanos, Protosyncellus of the Holy Metropolis, as well as Mr. Sotirios Balatsoukas, Archon Protonotarios of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, Professor of the University of Thessaly and Director of the Personal Office of Metropolitan Ieronymos, made their way to Constantinople and to the Ecumenical Patriarchate, on Friday, 25 October 2024.
After the patriarchal meal in which they were invited to partake, His Eminence Metropolitan Ieronymos of Larissa and Tyrnavos and his entourage were specially received by His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew in order to pay their respects and discuss issues related to the upcoming Patriarchal Visit to Thessaly next summer.
It is recalled that there had been a previous visit by Mr. Dimitrios Kouretas, Regional Governor of Thessaly, to the Ecumenical Patriarchate, in order to invite His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew to the scientific conference organised by the Region of Thessaly following the ecological disaster after the flood of September 2023, where His All-Holiness will be one of the main speakers. Metropolitan Ieronymos and his entourage, after receiving the High Patriarchal Blessing, returned to the Metropolis, happily awaiting the day of the Patriarchal arrival to the Holy Metropolis of Larissa and Tyrnavos
