Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew visits Italy

His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew departed yesterday, Thursday, 4 July 2024, at noon, en route to Milano, from where he will continue to the Diocese of Ivrea, where he has been invited by Bishop Edoardo Aldo Cerrato to attend official local ecclesiastical events. He is expected to return to Constantinople on Saturday evening.

Accompanying him on this visit are His Eminence Metropolitan Polycarp of Italy, His Grace Bishop Paisios of Xanthoupolis, Archimandrite Ioannis Batsis, Hierarchical Vicar of the Community of Milano, Patriarchal Deacon Father Varnavas and one of the Secretaries of the Patriarchate, Chrysovalantis Gulgun.
