Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew to visit Madrid in October

The Holy Metropolis of Spain and Portugal announced that His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew will visit Madrid from 14 to 18 October 2023, on the occasion of the completion of 20 years since the founding of the Metropolis (2003-2023) and 50 years since the consecration of the Cathedral of Saints Andrew and Dimitrios (1973-2023).

It will be the first time that the Ecumenical Patriarch visits the Metropolis of Spain and Portugal, upon invitation of the local Hierarch, His Eminence Metropolitan Vissarion of Spain and Portugal, who was elected in January 2021.
