Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew returned from Scotland

On Saturday, 8 June 2024, in the afternoon, His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, accompanied by the Patriarchal Deacon Anatolios Doxastakis, returned from Scotland, where he spent a few days of vacation, accompanied by His Grace Bishop Raphael of Ilion and his relatives from Athens.

Upon his arrival at Edinburgh Airport on June 3, the Ecumenical Patriarch was received by His Eminence Archbishop Nikitas of Thyateira and Great Britain. That evening, Archbishop Nikitas hosted a formal dinner in honour of the Ecumenical Patriarch, attended by clergy and members of the local Diaspora. Due to outstanding obligations, Archbishop Nikitas returned to London the following day.
