Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew receives Tomos commemorating 50th Anniversary of his Hierarchy from Higher Patriarchal Ecclesiastical Academy of Crete

The Ecumenical Patriarch warmly welcomed His Eminence Metropolitan Theodore of Seleucia, who serves as a Professor at the Higher Patriarchal Ecclesiastical Academy of Crete. Metropolitan Theodore presented the Ecumenical Patriarch with a “Dedicated Tomos for the 50th Anniversary of the Hierarchy of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I” on behalf of the President and members of the Academic Council.

Expressing appreciation for the elegant publication, the Ecumenical Patriarch acknowledged that it reflects profound sentiments of respect, love, and devotion to the Mother Church and himself. In addition to this meeting, the Patriarch extended his welcome to various dignitaries and delegations, including Ambassadors His Excellency Matthew Lodge from the United Kingdom and His Excellency Chris Trott from the Vatican.

He also greeted a delegation from the Black Sea Association of Pontians in Naoussa, led by President Mr. Fotis Faniadis, as well as representatives from the International Police Union – Local Administration of Pella, headed by President Mr. Konstantinos Christodoulou from Edessa.

Furthermore, the Ecumenical Patriarch was represented by Metropolitan Theodoritos of Laodicea, Director of the Representative Office of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Athens, at the opening of the exhibition “A man of many facets – A Celebration of the life of Yannis Costopoulos” at the Benaki Museum of Greek Culture.

Moreover, the Grand Syncellus Archimandrite Iakovos represented the Patriarch at the reception hosted by the Consulate General of Japan, commemorating the Emperor of Japan’s birthday and the 100th anniversary of diplomatic relations with the Turkish Republic. Additionally, the Grand Syncellus Archimandrite Iakovos attended a music event jointly organised by the Consulates General of the United Kingdom and Ukraine.
