Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew officiates at Vespers of Saint Menas in Ypsomathia
On Friday evening, 10 November 2023, His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew officiated at the Great Vespers which took place at the celebrating Holy Church of Saint Menas the Great Martyr, in the district of Ypsomathia.
His Eminence Metropolitan Maximos of Selyvria, Supervisor of the District of Ypsomathia, Vlaga and Kontoskali, welcomed and addressed His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew with warm and welcoming words.
In his address and response to the welcome, the Ecumenical Patriarch referred to his many missions and pastoral visits around the world this year, which constitute a testimony of the Ecumenical Throne to all nations of the world. The Patriarch also congratulated His Eminence Metropolitan Maximos of Selyvria for the work being done in the Ypsomathia District, as well as all the leaders and contributors of the local Community.
On the occasion of the renovation of the Holy Church of Saint Menas, an elegant commemorative album was published by the Community of Ypsomathia reflecting the projects carried out in the last three years.
