Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew meets with Ambassador of Australia to Greece

On Thursday, 18 April 2024, His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, who is currently in Athens as part of his four-day visit, received the Ambassador of Australia to Greece, Ms. Alison Duncan. At the heart of their discussion was the imminent visit of His All-Holiness to the fifth continent, next October, during the culmination of the centenary celebrations of the Holy Archdiocese of Australia.
In a relevant post by the Australian Embassy on social media, it is recalled first of all that His All-Holiness will visit Australia, for the second time as Ecumenical Patriarch and for the first time after almost three decades.
“We wish His All-Holiness a fruitful visit”, the Embassy points out, “and we are sure that he will receive a very warm welcome from Australians of all religions”.
