Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew expresses his sympathy towards the victims of the fires in Alexandroupoli

His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, from the Island of Imbros where he is currently visiting, communicated via telephone with His Eminence Metropolitan Anthimos of Alexandroupolis and expressed to him his paternal wishes and prayers for a quick extinguishing of the fires as well as His Patriarchal blessings to the firefighters, to the policemen, to the individuals who are helping the fight with their agricultural machinery, to the volunteer groups that assist in the firefighting work and to the institutions for what they do to extinguish the fires and relieve the affected.
