Donation by Holy & Great Monastery of Vatopedi to Metropolis of Corfu’s food bank

The Holy & Great Monastery of Vatopedi has again donated food parcels for those in need residing within the Metropolis of Corfu, on the same-name island of the Ionian Sea, and ahead of the great feast of the Dormition of the Theotokos.

Some 300 families who receive monthly assistance from the Metropolis’ food bank received the holiday care packages.

The Metropolitan of Corfu, Paxous and the Diapontian isles, His Eminence Nektarios, thanked the venerable Mount Athos monastery, in a letter addressed to the Elder Archimandrite Ephraim, the Abbot of the Holy & Great Monastery of Vatopedi.
